Council’s Delivery program for 2017-2021, annual Operational Plan and Budget for 2019-2020 are now on public exhibition. They focus on what you've told us you value and need to maintain your quality of life here in Sutherland Shire, so we’d like your feedback on these plans for our future. A community survey in late 2018 highlighted road maintenance, preserving our natural waterways and sport and leisure facilities as a priority, so over the next 12 months our Capital Works program will see more than $18 million being spent on footpaths, roads and traffic facilities, more than $1.4 million on stormwater and water quality improvement measures, more than $1.5 million on sporting facility improvements, funds allocated to the upgrades of Sutherland School of Arts and Sutherland Entertainment Centre, wharfs, a new playground at Bonna Point and the roll out of the Silver Beach Masterplan Pathway eastwest connection at Kurnell. This is a snapshot, and I encourage all of our community to provide your feedback on the priorities in the coming year. We will be holding four community drop-in sessions across Sutherland Shire, so keep an eye out on Councils website and Facebook page for more details on dates, locations and times. Let’s work together on our vision for the future.
