Another exciting Seniors Festival is now underway, with a fantastic schedule of events and activities on offer for local seniors! We have an exciting Retirement Expo this Saturday, from 9am to 3pm at Gymea Tradies, which will offer talks and activities from local community organisations with a focus on opportunities during retirement. It is a full day event and children, grandchildren and friends are all welcome. The Expo will also have a focus on wellness, activity, connecting people and encouraging life-long learning. There’s also a volunteering expo on 21 February where you can speak directly with community organisations about how to get involved. Council’s 2020 program boasts plenty of opportunities for seniors to get a taste of the incredible lifestyle the Sutherland Shire has to offer local retirees. There will be great entertainment, films, health and wellbeing events, art and craft, hobbies and interest groups, education seminars and talks and opportunities to explore the great outdoors. You can pick up the full ‘Seniors Festival Program’ from our Libraries, Leisure Centres, Sutherland Entertainment Centre or Hazelhurst Arts Centre, for general enquiries phone 9710 0525 or visit
