If you’re a bit of a green thumb or like to spend the spring and summer months in the garden, don’t forget to apply for a Council Greenweb Grant and restore the natural bushland on your property. Private property owners in the Greenweb network are eligible for grants up to $2,000 to remove invasive bushland weeds and help with regeneration and revegetation of natural bushland with local native plants. This will aid in habitat creation and protection, making sure native plant and animal populations thrive in Sutherland Shire. We are offering up to 10 grants, which are prioritised according to the conservation value of the proposed project. You may have a better shot if you partner with your neighbours too! Help to ensure the long-term sustainability of our natural environment by getting your application in before 31 August. For more information, visit http://www.sutherlandshire.nsw.gov.au/Community/Grants/Greenweb-Grants or contact our GreenWeb team on 02 9710 0463.
