As residents of the Sutherland Shire we all appreciate the importance of doing our part to protect our beautiful natural environment. That’s why Council is again supporting local residents to responsibly dispose of their unwanted household chemicals as part of our regular Household Chemical CleanOuts.

That’s why Council is pleased to once again deliver financial support to further encourage local green thumbs to play a part in enhancing our environment through our ‘Greenweb’ grants program.

MAYOR'S MESSAGE - Camera’s Rolling for the 2020 ShireABILITY Film Competition

Council is calling all aspiring filmmakers to put their talents to the test by entering the ShireABILITY Film Competition. The event, now in its second year, is again being staged by Sutherland Shire Council in recognition and celebration of International Day of People with Disability, taking place on Thursday 3 December 2020.

We know a huge part of what makes the Sutherland Shire such a great place to live is our beautiful outdoor spaces and the fantastic array of opportunities for local residents of all ages and abilities to play and stay active. That’s why Council is so pleased to recently unveil the new Mathers Place Reserve Playground at Menai.

MAYOR'S MESSAGE - Council Adopts Operational Plan 2020/21

Council has adopted the Operational Plan 2020/21 including Revenue Policy, Budget, Capital Program and Fees and Charges, completing the fourth year of the recently extended five-year Delivery Program 2017– 2022.
