Manager Communication and Engagement

• Creating an open, honest and understandable relationship with the community, that fosters awareness, understanding, participation and confidence.

• Providing strong leadership, by ensuring informed decision making is based upon high quality engagement and 2 way communication with the Community, Council and Stakeholders.

• Embedding a constructive workplace culture by empowering your team, setting clear objectives, creating agility, positively contributing to growth and development and celebrating achievements.

• Evolving, implementing and ongoing monitoring of the Communication and Engagement Performance Management Framework, including Stakeholder Analysis, Content creation, Content Delivery, Reputation Management, Research facilitation and Professional Advice.

• Becoming a key partner in the Corporate Leadership Team, ensuring an integrated approach to management of Council’s resourcing strategy and governance framework.

Things you'll do

In leading the business unit, the objectives of the Communication and Engagement Performance Management Framework will be met, which include:

• To inform and educate the community about the services, responsibilities and decisions of Council through effective communication across diverse channels

• Build confidence through open and honest communications, including understanding of the challenges and opportunities for the future.

• To undertake research and best-practice engagement with our entire community that informs decision-making.

• To be the trusted advisor in our subject matter areas across Council.
