AUSTRALIA DAY 26 JANUARY

Sutherland Entertainment Centre
10am Citizenship Ceremony

CRONULLA BEACH
1pm to 9pm entertainment. Fireworks at 9pm.

Join Kirrawee High Jazz Orchestra from 1pm followed by Kim Sheehy, our wonderful Engadine and Miranda Musical Societies, the Royal Australian Navy Band, Caravana Sun, Busby Marou, and Casey Donovan.

MENAI DISTRICT - BLAXLAND OVAL, ILLAWONG
4pm to 9pm live music, food and children’s activities. Fireworks at 9pm.

Alex Hurt starts off the entertainment followed by the Funk Soul Brothers Show, ANSTO Science Show, and Joseph Calderazzo and Band.

SHIRE VIBES 27 JANUARY

Shire Vibes is the most relaxed event of the year. Bring a rug and picnic basket and enjoy an intimate and relaxed time on one of the best beaches in the world, Cronulla Beach, while enjoying the eclectic sounds  of our most talented musicians.

Join Jordan Kenny, Dimi Poulous, Dylan Wright, Clay Western, Evie J Willie, and Jackson Carroll by the beach.

3.30pm to 9pm

AUSTRALIA DAY 2020 CHARITY PARTNER

Funds raised during council’s Australia Day events will go to the Kurrunulla Aboriginal Corporation.

Kurrunulla has been working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people and organisations living in the Sutherland Shire and St George areas for many years. The Corporation helps meet the needs of frail, aged, and younger people with disabilities and their carers in a culturally appropriate manner.

AUSTRALIA DAY MAYOR'S MESSAGE

We are gearing up for Australia Day in 2020, which last year attracted more than 35,000 people. Our event in Cronulla is one of the largest and longest running in the country. Sunday 26 January, will start with a morning Citizenship Ceremony at Sutherland before Cronulla Beach and Blaxland Oval, Illawong host a non-stop program of outstanding entertainment. Read more
