A fun, hands on beginner's coding workshop for kids using Scratch. Scratch is a program that allows people to create games, animations, interactive art and stories using some coding skills and a bit of imagination.
Scratch is designed to teach children to code using a fun, game-like experience. Coding skills help children think creatively while reasoning systematically.
Due to high demand and limited places, Scratch workshops are strictly for children from 9-12 years. This is a beginner's session for children with no prior coding experience.
What parents and participants need to know:
- To gain the most out of the program, each child will need to create a free Scratch account with their parent/carer before the workshop. Visit the Scratch website and click on "Join Scratch".
- Participants will need to know their Scratch log in username and password for the workshop.
- This workshop is for children who are new to Coding. If they have had previous experience, this workshop may not be suitable for them. Please discuss this workshop with your child before booking.
- For the safety of all participants, food may not be brought into or consumed during the program.
