Sutherland Shire Libraries do not offer regular structured computer training courses. Here are some other options for learning how to use computers and the Internet.
If you are happy to teach yourself the Library can recommend GCF Learn Free online tutorials. With more than 2000 lessons on over 180 topics this resource can help beginners learn how to use their computers and other devices. There are classes on the following topics:
- Computer Basics
- Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS
- Email and the Internet
- Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, etc.)
- Online Safety
- Microsoft Office

If you prefer to learn in a more traditional setting with an instructor leading the training we regularly recommend the following local services.
Endeavour Seniors Computer Club
Over 55's are eligible to join this local computer club. Members are offered relatively cheap training by their peers in the club who have achieved a high level of competency in their chosen areas, often on a one-on-one basis.

St. George and Sutherland Community College

The Community College runs regular structured training courses over a number of weeks corresponding with school terms, as well as a number of shorter courses. Registration is open to everyone and courses are offered on a first come, first served basis.
