Writer's Month

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and we’re celebrating with a range of events for every kind of writer! Meet up-and-coming authors at our Local Author Showcase. Get some words down on paper at casual write-ins throughout November. Join us for a Day of Writing Dangerously where you can share prose in a Writing Circle, learn Fiction Writing Secrets with Pamela Cook or meet with professional editor Deb Doyle for a manuscript appraisal.

Write-Ins at Sutherland Library

  • Wednesday, 14 Nov 2018,  6:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Wednesday, 21 Nov 2018,  6:00pm - 8:00pm
Need somewhere to work on your 50,000 words for NaNoWriMo or other creative writing projects? Join us at a write-in for a dedicated space to write, light snacks and the opportunity to talk to other NaNoWriMo participants. Don't forget - all library branches can be used as writing centres outside of our write-ins, with 4 hours free WiFi at most locations, and librarians on hand to help you with your research needs.
