About Sutherland Library

An external book-returns chute is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Restricted street parking is available around and underneath Sutherland Library. The library is a short 5 minute walk from Sutherland shopping centre, railway station and bus interchange.

Justice of the Peace (JP) Service

Sutherland Library staff Justices of the Peace are available Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. No JP services are available at weekends or after 5pm on weekdays. The following JP services can be performed without an appointment:

Certifying copies not exceeding a total of 10 pages or documents.
Witnessing one New South Wales or Australian Commonwealth Statutory Declaration, not exceeding a total of 5 pages.

These on-demand services are dependent upon a JP being on duty. All other JP services are available by appointment. Please contact the library to arrange an appointment with a JP.
