Make a flower crown with artist Leahlani Johnson, enjoy free art making and 60s games and activities for children, face painting, a free 60s dress-ups and polaroid photobooth and food and drink in the Hazelhurst Café
Enjoy the current exhibition at Hazelhurst Arts Centre highlighting the work of Marion Hall Best (1905-1988), Sydney’s pre-eminent interior designer of the 20th century. She was one of the first independent and most influential interior designers in Australia.
The 60s Fair Fest will be a day to put in our calendar as so many people in our community will remember the 60s and the rapid changes which occurred during that decade said Sutherland Shire Mayor, Carmelo Pesce.
Belinda Hanrahan, Director of Hazelhurst Arts Centre said the 60s Fair is set to be one of the biggest days at Hazelhurst this year as we know how much people love this era where there was so much change socially, politically and in art, design, fashion and music.
You’ll be transported back to the 1960s for the day. There’ll be authentic 60s vintage wears including clothing, knitwear and jewellery, you can have your hair and make-up done in a 1960s style, there’ll be classics from the 60s with Endless Summer Beach Party, go go dancing and a classic car display.
