Join artist Nicole Kelly in her garden for a monotype demonstration that you can try at home using watercolour, gouache or oil paints. You’ll also need some brushes, heavy weight paper, a tray and a jar of water as well as a plate to work on which can be an old etching plate, perspex, glass, mirror or plastic – even a flat plastic lid with the edges cut off will work.
Nicole Kelly primarily works in painting with a focus on the landscape and private interiors. She was awarded the prestigious Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship in 2009, the Hazelhurst Art on Paper Local Artist Award in 2011 and the Hurford Hardwood Portrait Prize in 2018.
Nicole is represented by Arthouse Gallery, Sydney and THIS Is NO FANTASY, Melbourne.
