A darkly comic drama from Academy Award winner Martin McDonagh (In Bruges).

 After months have passed without a culprit in her daughter’s murder case, Mildred Hayes (Academy Award winner Frances McDormand) makes a bold move… painting three signs leading into her town with a controversial message directed at William Willoughby (Academy Award nominee Woody Harrelson), the town’s chief of police. 

 

Golden Globe Awards: Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Actress – Drama (McDormand), Best Supporting Actor (Rockwell), and Best Screenplay. Academy Awards: Best Actress for Frances McDormand.

Films screen in the Hazelhurst theatrette every Monday at 6.30pm, Thursday at 11am & 2pm,  and Sunday at 2pm for members of the Hazelhurst Film Club.
