6-year-old Frida goes to live with her uncle’s family in Carla Simón’s autobiographical first feature.
A vivid portrait of a light-filled summer when a little girl faces the loss of her mother and integration into a new closeknit family. Avoiding sentimentality, the film explores Frida’s conflicting emotions as she struggles to understand her new circumstances despite the generosity and benevolence of her new family.
