Land of Mine

Set in post- World War II Denmark.

A group of young German POWs are forced to clear a beach of thousands of land mines under the watch of a Danish Sergeant who slowly learns to appreciate their plight.

Danish Film Awards 2016: Best Film, Director, Original Screenplay, Editing, Cinematography & Audience Prize; Academy Awards 2017: Nominated Best Foreign Language Film.

Director: Martin Zandvliet. Stars: Roland Møller, Louis Hofmann, Joel Basman, Emil Belton, Oskar Belton, Mikkel Boe Følsgaard. Duration: 101 minutes. Rated MA.

Films screen in the Hazelhurst theatrette every Monday at 6.30pm, Thursday at 11am & 2pm,  and Sunday at 2pm for members of the Hazelhurst Film Club.
