Blancanieves

A little girl learns the art of her father, a famous bullfighter, but is hated by her evil stepmother. One day she rans away and becomes a legend.

The brothers Grimm get a sumptuous reinvention in Blancanieves, the unique silent, and stunning black and white film, which is a twist on the Snow White fairytale, this time set in 1920s Seville. 

Director: Pablo Berger. Stars: Maribel Verdú,  Emilio Gavira,  Daniel Giménez Cacho. Duration: 105 minutes. Rated PG.

Films screen in the Hazelhurst theatrette every Monday at 6.30pm, Thursday at 11am & 2pm,  and Sunday at 2pm for members of the Hazelhurst Film Club.
