Printmaking, linocut prints, pencil on paper

In my body of work, I sought to explore the way in which we are a product, both biologically and emotionally, of our forebears. In my large prints I overlaid the faces of my close relatives to reveal our biological similarities which are visually manifested. In my smaller prints I combined a simpler visual style with rougher execution to create a sense of intimacy between the work and the viewer, and to convey a sense of personality which complements my pencil still lives. In the still life drawings, I depicted objects of emotional significance to my relatives to further illustrate their personalities. These objects coalesce in my still life, symbolising how both my personality and my genetics have been inherited.
