Watercolour and Collage
27 Aug 2017 - 27 Aug 2017
Work with artist Zuza Zochowski to investigate experimental methods in creating a final composition using watercolour and collage.
Students will experiment with different watercolour techniques both inside and out of the studio to create a final collaged artwork. Students will look at colour and shapes to aid in creating a final composition.
The workshop will be an opportunity to explore shapes and colour in the landscape as well as work from the imagination, observe and use interesting methods in watercolour painting and create a series of small experimental studies or finish with a larger scale artwork.
The tutor, Zuza Zochowski, creates paintings referencing both from life and photos. Her subjects include the portrait, landscape and still lifes. Since graduating from Sydney College of Arts in 1999, Zuza has exhibited professionally nationally and internationally.
Her work has been included as a finalist in the Hazelhurst Work on Paper Award, The Portia Geach Memorial Award, Brett Whiteley scholarship and won first prize for painting at the Willoughby Art Prize.
Zuza’s work is included in national and international private collections and in Art Bank.
