Still Life in Watercolour
19 Jan 2018 - 19 Jan 2018
Work with artist Zuza Zochowski in this watercolour workshop focusing on tones, shapes and building layers of colour to create the final image.
Students will gain knowledge in composition, creating a first sketch with helpful watercolour techniques. The class will learn to use a limited palette and create interesting effects with the use of warm and cool colours.
The workshop will be an opportunity to explore everyday objects, observe and use interesting methods in watercolour painting and create a series of small experimental studies before finishing with a larger scale artwork.
The tutor, Zuza Zochowski, creates paintings referencing both from life and photos. Her subjects include the portrait, landscape and still lifes. Since graduating from Sydney College of Arts in 1999, Zuza has exhibited professionally, nationally and internationally. Her work has been included as a finalist in the Hazelhurst Art On Paper Award, The Portia Geach Memorial Award, Brett Whiteley Scholarship and awarded first prize for painting at the Willoughby Art Prize. Zuza’s work is included in national and international private collections and in Art Bank.
Cost: $105. Class takes place from 10am - 4pm on Friday 19 January 2018.
