22 Jul 2018 - 22 Jul 2018
Explore your creativity by creating a medium sized macramé wall hanging with Susan Walker.
Learn basic macramé knots and techniques and add your own spin to create a wall piece ready to hang in your home (measuring up to 80cm x 100cm, excluding fringe). Using white cotton rope and adding colour and texture with coloured rope, nettle cord or felted wool rope, you will apply your newly learned knotting techniques to make your own unique wall art.
Macramé is one of the many textile techniques that the tutor, Sue Walker, enjoys. Her love for fibres, yarns and fabric, is reflected in her online business YarnHub for which she creates a range of hand dyed woollen and silk yarn and sources yarn from all over the world. Sue also designs and makes unique handwoven clothing and wall art and teaches weaving in the Southern Highlands and the Illawarra.
Cost: $170. Class takes place from 10am - 4pm on Sunday 22 July 2018.
Limited places available. Book early to avoid disappointment. Information on how to enrol in this class can be found on our Art Classes page.
