Works on Paper

Taking inspiration from Hazelhurst’s Art on Paper award, this class is designed to introduce students to the art making potential of paper.

Thursday 9.00am - 12.00pm

Tutor: Lee Bethel. Cost: $247.50.

Paper is one of the most versatile of all fine art materials, yet it is often overlooked. Paper has endless possibilities, it can be drawn, painted and printed on. It can be collaged, stained, and stitched. It can be turned into sculpture, or incised and stretched.

Each term students will be given 2 - 3 new projects where they will either make works on or from paper. Students can expect to paint, draw, collage, print and sculpt. Traditional and contemporary methods will be used. The class will inspire creativity!

This course is suitable for beginners through to experienced.

Find out more about enrolling and term dates. For general information phone 02 8536 5700 or email hazelhurst@ssc.nsw.gov.au.
