Community Grants and Subsidies Program

The Community Grants and Subsidies Program is delivered by Sutherland Shire Council to support and empower the local community. The aim of the program is to fund a range of projects that contribute to a connected, supportive, caring, inclusive and engaged community.

This year Sutherland Shire Council supported 39 local not for profit organisations to implement 43 community based projects designed to build a sense of community, improve health and well-being and create and strengthen community connections.

Please see Program Guidelines for expected program outcomes and eligibility.

Grant Writing Workshops

Council is offering free Grant Writing Workshops for local  not-for-profit organisations looking to improve and strengthen their grant writing skills. Workshops will be facilitated by Non Profit Training with the aim of providing participants with a framework for applying for grant applications and up-skilling attendees so they have a better chance of preparing for and writing successful grant applications. Council will host two workshops:

  • Wednesday 13 February 2019, from 6pm - 9pm
  • Friday 15 February 2019, from 9:30am - 12:30pm (Fully booked)

Both sessions will be held at Council Admin Building, 4 Eton Street Sutherland.

Bookings are essential as spaces are strictly limited. Registration will be limited to one representative per organisation to allow as many local groups to attend as possible. Bookings close 5pm Friday 8 February 2019.

To make a booking or to discuss the grant program please contact Council's Community Development and Grants Advisor, Vanessa Zanotti, on 9710 0602 or via email at communities@ssc.nsw.gov.au.
