What the grant is for

ClubGrants is an initiative of the NSW Government and Clubs NSW to provide funding for community development projects and services that have a direct impact on the Sutherland Shire community.

ClubGRANTS are funded by a gaming machine tax rebate.

In 2015 Sutherland Shire ClubGrants distributed over $408,140 to local organisations.

Local Funding Priorities

Priorities for funding in Sutherland Shire in 2016 are:

  • Women and children escaping domestic violence
  • Young people at risk
  • Programs providing support for people experiencing financial crisis
  • Programs for the socially isolated
  • Disability Services  
  • Services for older people, including Veteran Welfare Services
  • Mental Health services or projects

Who can apply?

Organisations who are eligible under Category 1 of ClubGRANTS Guidelines.  

Organisations must be not-for-profit and only projects which directly benefit residents of Sutherland Shire will be considered.

How to apply

Online only using the Sutherland Shire ClubGRANTS Application Form. No late applications will be accepted. No paper-based applications will be accepted.


Organisations that have received ClubGrants funding previously must submit a Standard Funding Report via SmartyGrants upon completion of the the project. Further applications will not be considered until report has been received.
