What the grant is for

ClubGRANTS is an initiative of the NSW Government and ClubsNSW to provide funding for community development projects and services that have a direct impact on the Sutherland Shire community.

ClubGRANTS are funded by a gaming machine tax rebate.

In 2017 Sutherland Shire ClubGrants distributed over $279,000 to local organisations.

Local Funding Priorities for 2018 are:

  • Programs supporting volunteer emergency services
  • Women and children escaping domestic violence
  • Young people at risk
  • Programs providing support for people experiencing financial crisis
  • Programs for the socially isolated
  • Disability Services  
  • Services for older people, including Veteran Welfare Services
  • Mental Health services or projects

  • Who can apply?

    To be eligible you must provide the following project and / or community services:

    • community welfare or social services
    • community development
    • community health services
    • employment assistance activities 

    You are also eligible if you or your organisation is involved in community or professional sport

    Only projects which directly benefit residents of Sutherland Shire will be considered.

    The workshop will provide information and advice regarding changes to the ClubGRANTS application process as well as advice and assistance about grant writing and how to submit an application via ClubGRANTS Online.

    Organisations that have received ClubGrants funding previously must submit a Standard Funding Report upon completion of the project. Further applications will not be considered until report has been received.
