I have more than five years’ experience working with children in early education and care environments.  Working with families, and fostering children’s growth and learning, is my true passion.

I am creative, kind, hard working and incredibly passionate about what I do. So much so that I love being a ‘big kid’ myself, always doing my best to create a fun, stimulating and engaging learning environment for the children in my care.

About my service

I encourage the children's learning through play, and help them to develop a sense of belonging by creating an environment where they build connections with myself, their peers, the community and their natural environment.

I provide an environment where children learn and develop by exploring their world through stimulating and challenging play. I plan for the children’s learning around their interests and their own specific needs, guided by the National Quality Standards, the Early Years Learning Framework and the School Aged Care learning framework (My Time, Our Place).

About my facilities

I have a spacious room directly next to the front entrance which is the children’s playroom, equipped with many toys and activities to keep the children busy, happy and learning throughout the day. The room is also equipped with a sink for easy access to hand washing, a microwave, fridge and change table.

I have a dedicated nursery with two cots, both equipped with sensor monitors to provide extra monitoring care for babies.

The front outside area has plenty of shaded areas; a picnic table; a sandpit for the children to play, create and explore in; a garden; and a large bunny pen where the children can walk around, feed the rabbits lots of fresh veggies and have a little pat.

On a daily basis, the children learn through play-based activities including:

  • Group time
  • Arts & craft
  • Story time
  • Sensory experiences
  • Music & dancing
  • Cognitive, gross and motor skills development

Additionally, the children in my early education and care service will also participate in:

  • Calendar events & cultural celebrations
  • Cooking
  • Excursions including community participation and visits to parks etc
  • Yoga
  • Exercise
  • Sustainability education - we encourage sustainability and respect for our environment. A gardening program for the older children will enable them to grow and be responsible for their very own garden whilst learning all about nature.

Testimonials

"Kendall is a very warm, caring and professional person. She's extremely passionate about her work and always aims to achieve the best. During the times she's looks after my son she has managed to build a strong bond and beautiful relationship not only with him, but with our whole family. Kendall's is the most perfect place you could possibly imagine for your child to learn and grow, with even better care." Karolina.

I was lucky enough to get my son in Kendall's care. I was so apprehensive about leaving him (from 6 months) when I went back to work, but he couldn't get any better care. It's such a huge relief. Kendall is so kind and caring, she truly LOVES and is so passionate about children and their development. My son squeals with delight when he realises he is going to Kendall's. He absolutely loves spending his days there. She has gone above and beyond to create a nurturing, fun and caring environment." Stephanie.

"Arlo loves Kendall, or in his case "Kuddle". He has a great day at Rockerbye with his teacher and his friends. Kendall is very attentive to Arlo's needs and knows him so well that she can settle him quickly and attend to him. Her facilities are always clean and interesting, there is always new toys out that I know Arlo loves and I appreciate that there is always an educational purpose to her toys and games she plays with the children. Kendall's communication with us is out of this world and we are truly grateful for her." Virginnie.
