Passionate about helping children to grow and develop, I have been a Family Day Care Educator for almost 25 years. I've been associated with Sutherland Shire Council's scheme since 1989 - stopping briefly during a temporary move out of the Shire.
I have three children (two boys and a girl) who are now adults. I adore interacting with children and promoting their learning - it's the reason I became an Educator and the reason I continue to love what I do after 25 years in the profession.
About my service
I provide an extremely nurturing and warm environment for the children in my care. I pay particular attention to the needs of each child, tailoring programs accordingly. I observe them - their skills, abilities and stages of development - and help them to learn and grow.
I enjoy strong relationships with parents and families, and encourage them to provide input into the programs I prepare for their child. Learning is always going to be better when parents and families have input into the fun and stimulating activities their child is doing during the day. At the end of each day I want both parents and children to be happy with the high quality care I provide.
About my facilities
The care and learning environment comprises quality indoor and outdoor play areas. Indoors, we have many resources at our disposal, from educational toys and books to musical instruments and craft.
Outdoors, there is a large, grassed and well-shaded level yard. The children have many choices, from kicking soccer balls into nets and riding around in push along cars to 'cooking' at the pretend kitchen and playing with playdough and puzzles.
