If you're thinking about childcare, take a close look at Family Day Care. Come along to our Childcare Information Session to meet and chat informally with our Family Day Care Educators, hear from a parent speaker about their family's experience and learn about this wonderful childcare option.
Family Day Care's small numbers of children, warm and nurturing environments and personalised level of care and education appeals to parents, especially those who are placing their child into care for the first time. Our Educators tailor their daily learning programs specifically to meet the needs and milestones of each child.
Council has 26 early childhood specialists who work out of their own homes, providing care & education to small groups of young children.
Our Educators maintain close connections and communication with families, who provide families with detailed information about ther child's day - the activities they engaged in, their learning areas of focus and how their child is building their strengths. It’s a level of communication unique to Family Day Care.
Families also enjoy the benefit of consistency – they arrive at care and are greeted by one Educator who knows their child well.
More than 200 children enjoy the benefits of our Family Day Care service.
A parent recently said their Family Day Care Educator "has been an amazing part of my child's life. The set up, play equipment, educational program and care is just outstanding. I'm not sure as a parent I could've done better for him. We are so happy we found our Educator and she is able to care for my son in such an incredible way."
Join us for a coffee, meet some of our Educators and learn how Sutherland Shire Council Family Day Care can meet your child’s early education and care needs. You'll also hear from a parent about her family's experience in Family Day Care.
