Family Day Care - Childcare Information Session

If you're thinking about childcare, take a close look at Family Day Care. Come along to our Childcare Information Session to meet our Family Day Care Educators, hear from a parent speaker about their family's experience and learn about this wonderful childcare option.

Family Day Care's small group numbers, nurturing environments and personalised level of care appeals to parents, especially those who are placing their child into care for the first time.  Our Educators tailor their play-based learning programs specifically to meet the milestones and interests of each child.

Council has 24 Family Day Care Educators who work out of their own homes, providing care & education to babies, toddlers and preschoolers (there are only four children under school age).

Our Educators maintain close connections and communication with families, who receive detailed information about ther child's day - the activities they engaged in, their learning areas of focus and how their child is building their strengths. It’s a level of communication unique to Family Day Care.

Families also enjoy the benefit of consistency – they arrive at care and are greeted by one Educator who knows their child well.

More than 200 children enjoy the benefits of our Family Day Care service.

A parent recently said:“Words cannot describe how lucky we feel to have you as our daughter’s Educator. What an amazing start she has being in your care. It’s a home away from home but with amazing education, social development and love that you are truly gifted at providing. Going back to work knowing my little girl is being so well cared for is such a great feeling.”

Join us for a coffee, meet some of our Educators and learn how Sutherland Shire Council Family Day Care can meet your child’s early education and care needs. You'll also hear from a parent about her family's experience in Family Day Care.

Register below to attend a session: Saturday 2 May, Saturday 1 August or Saturday 10 October. Session commences 9.30am, Sutherland Shire Council building, ground floor, 4-20 Eton Street, Sutherland.
