The Digital Media Studio offers a unique opportunity to beginners and more experienced digital media students to explore the possibilities of the digital world and to extend their skill base in design and video. Materials used in the programs, such as DVDs, CDROMs etc, are not included.

Photoshop and Illustrator

Learn the basics of Photoshop and Illustrator in four days of intensive learning. These programs are industry-standard graphics packages useful in design and art applications. In the course, you will have hands on experience in using the basic functions in scanning, working with layers, compositing and collage.
Classes are held on four consecutive Saturdays.

Digital SLR Photography

This 9 week practical photography course will demystify your Digital SLR camera and guide you into taking creative control, developing compositional techniques to enhance your photography decision making. Hazelhurst’s natural and built environment will serve as a great starting point for taking photos and putting into practice what you learn during the term. You will learn how to use software to manage your images and as a digital darkroom.
