Childrens Classes

Children 6-8 years and 8-13 years have many opportunities in after-school and school-holiday classes to enjoy creative and skills-based lessons. Painting, pottery, mosaics, creative arts and Saturday Art Club provide children with excellent tuition and access to well-equipped studios.

School Term Classes

Creative arts (8-13 yrs)

Explore a combination of media in a class that is creative and fun. You can paint, draw and make things with clay. Each media session will take about three weeks.

Ceramics (8-13 yrs)

Students will learn all about clay and how to construct objects and prepare [U1] them for firing and colour works. This is a great program for those interested in creative ceramics and who want the practical knowledge of working in clay.

Saturday Art Club (8-13 yrs)

This is an extension class for children wanting to develop their skills. Participants will experiment with drawing, painting and mixed media techniques. Each session will focus on a theme (the environment, still life or figure work). Over the weeks, a variety of exercises will be conducted experimenting with the different media.

Painting after school (6-8 yrs)

Improve your painting and drawing skills through a range of fun and stimulating exercises. Use your unique vision to interpret the world around you, creating artwork to treasure for years to come. This is a great way to learn painting and drawing skills and develop your artistic ability.

Pottery (6-8 yrs)

Children 6-8 years will be introduced to the enjoyment of working with clay, being creative and developing new skills.

Experimental art (6-8 yrs)

Each student is taken through the fundamentals of drawing, subject painting and composition, tonal values, colour mixing, oil painting techniques and simple methods of avoiding problems. A series of demonstrations held throughout the term will explain procedures designed to help each student progress to creative finished art.
